Frequently Asked Questions
Is Social Forward therapy?
No. Social Forward is an educational and skills-based program designed to complement therapy —not replace it.
What if I'm nervous?
Most participants are. You won’t be expected to jump into difficult situations. We’ll help you build confidence one step at a time.
Do I have to attend community events by myself?
No. We’ll gradually prepare you through classroom practice, guided exercises, and optional supported event attendance.
How many people are in each group?
Cohorts are intentionally limited to 4–6 participants to create a supportive, comfortable learning environment.
What if I'm not shy? I just feel uncomfortable in new social situations.
Many participants wouldn’t describe themselves as shy. They simply feel uncertain in unfamiliar social situations, want to expand their social circle, or are looking for a greater sense of community. Social Forward is designed for adults who want to build confidence, meet new people, and become more active participants in the communities they want to be part of.
